Biography/Journal Project
March 1, 2017
This project is due March 29.
1. Choose a biography about a famous woman.
2. Write at least 5 questions that you would like your reading to help you answer; show these to Mrs. Lee on Monday, March 5.
3. Read the biography.
-as you read keep notes on note cards or Post its
-you should also be responding in your reader’s notebook
4. Show some notes to Mrs. Lee on or before Friday, March 16 .
6. Use your notes to write at least 5 diary entries as if you were the person you are reading about.
The entries need to be:
…handwritten neatly or typed
…at least 2 full paragraphs on each page
…dated with the date your person would have used
(or a close approximation)
7. Draw a portrait of your subject on white paper (8 1/2 by 11) to use as the cover of your journal. No Internet pictures!
