Happy Vacation!

I missed you all today, but I enjoyed talking to other teachers about the great poems of Emily Dickinson.  Did you know she lived in Amherst Massachusetts?  I'll share some of her poems with you when we get back to school.  I hope you all have a great and relaxing vacation so you can come back refreshed and ready to learn.  Some of you will be Patriots and some of you will be Loyalists, so work hard on your maps.  I can't wait to see them.

Here's a stanza of a poem by Emily Dickinson that I like:

To pile like Thunder to its close
Then crumble grand away
While Everything created hid
This-- would be Poetry--

February is here!

We're about halfway through the school year and to celebrate our hard work there's no homework tonight.  I hope this gives you a chance to catch up on some reading or just some quiet family time. Have a great day!
