Welcome to my classroom blog!I am happy and excited to be starting a new school year with all of you. This blog is where you will find information about our classroom and school community. As you explore you will find links to pages for homework (updated daily), our schedule, and other blogs and websites you will find helpful and informative.
We have a few changes at Fox Hill. We welcome a new principal, Mr. David Rosenblatt! I know our students will be excited to meet and get to know him! We also welcome many new staff members, and in particular, Ms. O'Donnell, and Ms.Fraser, who will be co-teaching a fifth grade class.
Mrs. Jaffe and I make up the rest of the fifth grade team, and we all look forward to working with every fifth grader to make this a productive and memorable year!
Another important change is the start and dismissal time. Teachers will be on duty to greet students at 7:55, and the instructional day begins at 8:10. Dismissal is at 2:15.
This blog is just one of the many means of communication I will utilize. Phone calls, emails, notices via backpack, and conferences are all valued ways of connecting with you to ensure a successful year for your fifth grader. Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions or concerns.

I have a substantial library all students will have access to throughout the day. They should never be without a book to read!
You will be seeing these come home daily; please help your child prioritize assignments and organize papers. These are crucial skills as they become independent learners.
Our assignments are listed and are to be copied each morning. Our daily schedule and objectives are clearly posted.
