SCIENCE PROJECT DUE TUESDAY 1/24

Families:

Your child has been assigned a science project in Mrs. Jaffe’s class. The project was started in class and involves illustrating the reproductive parts of a flowering plant and writing/typing of summary of that process. Both the written portion and the illustration were modeled in class last week; students were even given time in class to start the illustration. To complete the work, your child will need his/her science journal and folder that contain important printed resources. Please talk with your child about this project. Tis the Season!

We begin the new year refreshed and ready to dive into new learning! This also means some testing.  We had DRA in ELA, in December, and now I-Ready tests will be administered in January.  Following I-Ready will be Symphony in Math.
This Spring we will also be administering MCAS 2.0.  Teachers have been asked to share the following dates:
Grades 3-5 ELA: Tuesday, April 4, Wednesday, April 5, and Thursday, April 6
Grades 3-5 Math: Tuesday, May 9, Wednesday, May 10
Grade 5 Science: Tuesday, May 16, Wednesday, May 17

Welcome 2017!

A new year is here! I hope everyone enjoyed a fun-filled and relaxing vacation. We have lots to look forward to in 2017.  I wish all of our Fox Hill Families a new year filed with joy peace and good health!
